The SPx series has also undergone several changes compared to the previous year. It contains one more card per box (5 pcs) and especially brings a more modern design featuring some very interesting novelties. In conjunction with the Upper Deck Black cards (which are now only released here), SPx is a very interesting series.
Domestic collectors can also be pleased with the large number of Czech and Slovak players! And again in the checklist after a year-long break, we find legends (Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, Messier, Beliveau, Howe, Hull...).
The base set features 100 cards of current players, followed by Rookie cards of newcomers (numbers 101 to 200). Cards (1 to 200) are limited to 299 pcs. And all also include parallel versions Auto, Auto Patch (low limited) and 1/1 Auto Premium Memorabilia! You can also newly collect Colored Holofoil(/149), Radiance (/100), Grand Finale (/50) and NHL Shield Die-Cut Hologram (/25)!
The insert set Radiance FX is back! In the set, you will find only current players and rookies, with a unique design and Light FX technology. All of this on a plastic surface (acetate). Look for parallel versions Blue (new in the limit of /499) and very low limited Purple Auto (signed).
With a new design, the Hologram Shadow Box cards will also make their presence known. These plastic cards are created using "brilliant Spectrum Light FX". The set includes both current players and rookies. Completely new parallel versions are Gold Spectrum (/99) and Black Gold (/10)!
NEW - another debut will be the successful signed cards, where you will find both top rookies and current players and legends - Auto Holographs and Holochamps - both will likely be among the highlights of the series! On Holochamps, you can find signatures from names like Lemieux, Roy, or Gretzky! A rarity are the low limited parallel versions Red Holo, Gold Holo, and Blue Holo (1/1) from both sets!
The most anticipated cards in the series are traditionally UD BLACK, which are of course hard-signed, and:
- UD Black Pride of a Nation Auto Patch - very popular cards where you will find a manufactured patch with the flag of the player's home country and a hard signed autograph. The set includes only top rookies and current superstars. Look for Spectrum 1/1 versions!
- UD Black Lustrous Rookie Auto Patch (RPA) are probably the biggest attraction in the series. Each card contains a hard-signed autograph and a premium memorabilia patch! You can also find a white version of this card, a very low limited Clarity Variant, or a Spectrum 1/1 version, and that from both versions. If you find a top rookie on this card (e.g., Beniers, Boldy, Wright, Slafkovský, etc.), you will have a true gem in your hands.
